this is a wonderful shot! and yes, this photo can be a good image for "what is it?"... i was thinking first of an elephant, but as anya said, the legs are too thin...
and i don't know if it's easier to milk a buffalo or a cow, but your photo makes milking look like child's play:)...

A buffalo huh? I wondered Wednesday when I lurked and didn't leave a comment. :) I've only milked Holsteins and Jerseys. Very interesting shot!
