Sit still please...

Albert Einstein once said that, "if the
bees disappeared, man would have
only four years of life left".

People in this part of India purchase these masks and fix them on the walls outside the house. It is believed that they ward off the evil eye.

Rhododendrons

Yesterday we were at a park closeby. This Rhododendron tree was in full bloom, the branches were quite low and I was lucky to get some close shots of the flowers.

Weekend at Devenahalli.

This weekend we were at Devenahalli, visiting many temples around that place. We found many monkeys roaming around that place. Some posed for me, like this one...

while some were least bothered, like the one here...
and this was too close, I just had the time to swing around and click.

Camera Critters-2

A white furry caterpillar. Isn't it beautiful?! Going by the looks of it I can say for sure it must be turning in to a very beautiful butterfly. I don't know the name of this, can anyone help identify this one?

PhotoHunt-Unique (funny) sign.

This week's Photo Hunt theme is Unique(funny)sign. It was difficult hunting for such a picture. Either I don't have an eye for it or there is nothing Unique (funny) around. And while driving back home I found this sign in one of the vehicles ahead of me. It is different and Iwas not able to make out what it exactly meant.

Back home after cropping the image, I asked my daughter to make some meaning out of the sign. She cooly replied, "No speeding for boys. They must stop and girls can speed on." I am not sure whether the designer of the sign meant exactly the same and you are free to interpret it the way you wish.

Weekend Snapshots-1

On our return trip last week, after the visit to the migratory birds we saw these egrets were perched high up on a roadside Tamarind tree. It was a beautiful sight and we halted there a few minutes to capture the sight.

This award was gifted to me by Hootin' Anni . Thank you Hootin' Anni.
