Bird Watching

Yesterday we were bird watching at Kokkarebellur, near Bangalore, a natural bird sanctuary. These are Painted Storks, the migratory birds that arrive every winter.

Bird watching, now I think that is one way of getting stress out of our system. Their fascinating to look at, how they greatly balance themselves atop a tree.

It's amazing how these beauties look heavy for the tiny branches yet they remain perched. Have a pleasant weekend!

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaw what a big bird ;)
It seems like a pelican,It looks like a pelican type but I think it is another bird.......
These birds are naturally very huge in size with LARGE bill and wings LOL
Their large bill and an expansible
pouch in the lower mandible make it easier for them to catch food ;)
They are just funny, GREAT action shots :)))))

They manage to look right in that tree even though they seem too big for the branches. How graceful.

For their size, it's amazing how they can still perch so gracefully on the delicate branches.
