I like these, a lot. A slice of life in a different country/culture. What are they doing?

wonder what are they trying to cook such that they need the stove to burn for a long time?

A beautiful picture of people on a normal weekday :)
I like everyday moments they are so frozen !!!! and so really ;)

The kerosene is rationed?

I'm walking over to my central-gas-fired stove to tell it thank you now.

They are still using kerosene for cooking? Interesting.

Yep, images like these make me appreciate more the small comforts I have right now. :)

Happy WW! My entry is here.

Isn't it amazing how we take everything for granted. It is a hard world out there. When you are down go and take a look at someone elses life.
Thanks for Sharing.

I think I need to go hug my stove. It's amazing the things I take for granted that others have to work so hard for.

I like the way these capture people in real life with none of the posing or artifice.

We came across them, but still they are yet to come. Oil cans deserve there best!

The photos may be wordless, but those jerry cans speak volumes about peoples' lives, and the inequalities in the world. My wish is for all to have basic needs and comforts easily, readily and safely met.

What an interesting set of photos. How often do they do that? Is it a weekly ration/ monthly?

That's a very good image and reminder to people like me of how easy I have it in terms of my heat and stove.

I'm feeling terribly wasteful after looking at these. Like Dianne said, what we take for granted.
