I'm replying to your Wordless Wednesday with words! Breaking all the rules! I love your photographs. I particularly like the one of your friends. The group reminds me of various female groups I've taken here in Australia. The externals may be different, but the spirit of female friendship is just the same. In my culture it is believed that men can never enjoy the same friendship bonds with others of the same sex. Women are lucky.

I'm not sure where this was taken, but it reminds me of a movie I saw once called Danav with Sonali Kulkarni. May I suggest, Lakshmi's Well as a title? (Lakshmi was Sonali's character and the well figured prominently in the movie.)

There's certainly a story here in this shot. Probably many stories. Great job!

I'm up too....

@Indrani: Thanks for stopping by!
In the movie Lakshmi's well was her refuge. She found solace there, when she couldn't find it anywhere else. I see that kind of serenity here too.

Is that a river or a well? A nice composition.

This is such a perfect moment captured! You know what my favorite part is? - the tiny ripples in the apex of the reflection. This is truly a picture it would take a thousand words to describe, and even then they wouldn't do it justice!

There is something very welcoming and relaxing about this photo. I could sit on those steps and gaze at the water.

Grea photo. I love the shapes and reflections, as you say. I tend to look for abstract interpretations of real visions, like your steps into the water. These are the elements that often inspire my own photography, including most of our Wordless Wednesdays. I hope you come visit.

It's a wonderful photo, Indrani. It's a "thought piece." Maybe that could be the title/caption. Happy WW.

this is a great photo on contrast and composition --- opaque hard rocks vs translucent pond water, straight edges vs flowing liquid, etc... a wonderful entry!!!

Hey Indrani, Happy WW! I like your picture, right away it reminded me of the Pool of Siloam in Jerusalem.
Thank you for peeking in on my dogs, they are getting to be buddies, the live and let alone type!
