These were found at Vythiri resorts, Wayanad, Kerala.
Land snails fully grown ones, almost palm size, trudging along leaving behind a silvery trail. The thorough city-bred kids picnicking there crowded around the snail in total shock and disbelief, as if they were watching a dinosaur!

Never it had seen a conch of intense yellow body. .., and as contrasts with the so dark shell!!

Wonderful colours. They are much bigger than the biggest of our snails. They could eat their way through a small garden in no time!

I have seen snails .. whitish , greyish ..but dont ever remember seeing one so yellow !!
